MINUTES
March 8, 2011
On March 8, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. The Board of Public Safety Budget Sub-Committee and Torrington Police Department met in the Office of the Chief of Police at 576 Main Street, Torrington, CT.
Present: Police Chief Michael Maniago, Deputy Chief Christopher Smedick, Commissioner Richard Zaharek, Commissioner Christopher Cook, and Commissioner Darlene Battle
Meeting was opened at 5:10 p.m.
Discussion of cuts from eleven line items in the Police Department budget were made totaling $ 83,310.00. This is a total of one percent reduction in the budget and a zero percent increase as directed by Mayor Bingham.
Discussion of the Animal Control budget $3,000 increase were discussed and found to be a clerical error on the budget sheets from the Comptroller’s Office and has been corrected.
Future meetings of the budget sub-committee will be held as needed.
Meeting was adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
